Was appointed as our Independent Director on 25 May 2004. At resent, Mr Chen is the Vice Dean,College of the Public Administration of Zhejiang University,he holds other appointments such as the Director for the Science & Education Policy Centre, Executive Deputy Director for the “Innovative and   Competitiveness” Centre as well as the Deputy Director of the Innovation and Development Research Centre. At the same time, Mr Chen is also acting as an Adjunct Professor for Xinan Transportation University, Guizhou Industrial University and Fuzhou University in China. 

Mr Chen’s illustrious background also includes being the Vice Chairman of the China Science of Science and Science & Technology Policy Research Association, Member of the 3rd Education Committee of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Deputy Director of China Systematic Engineering Association - Systematic Energy Power Special Committee, Chairman of the Chinese Society for Technology Economics, Member of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province’s Economic Development Committee, Special Researcher of Zhejiang Policy Research Office. He was the Visiting Scholar of Sloan Management Institute of MIT of USA, Visiting Researcher at the Scientific Strategy Research Centre in the University of Sussex in UK as well as the Visiting Professor at PREST Research Centre in the University of Manchester. Mr Chen holds both a bachelor’s degree in chemical automation as well as a Ph.D degree in management engineering, from Zhejiang University.

Was appointed as our Independent Director May on 25,2004. Mr Yan is currently a director of Electronic Engineering Institute of Zhejiang University, director of IT Institute of Zhejiang University and director of VLSI Design Institute of Zhejiang Univesity. He is also the vice chairman of China Semi-conductor Industry Association, vice chairman of Zhejiang Science and Technology Association, chairman of Zhejiang Electronics Association. Between 1981 and 1998, Mr Yan acted as a director of micro-electronics CAD Institute of Hangzhou Electronic Industrial Institute and head of Hangzhou Electronic Industrial Institute. Between 1993 and 1994, he was a visiting professor of System Integration Research Centre of Stanford University of USA. Between 1998 and 2000, he was appointed as a director of Zhejiang Science Committee. Mr Yan holds a masters degree in electronics from Zhejiang University.

Was appointed as an Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of our Group on May 25, 2004. He has extensive experience in accounting and finance, corporate management and business investments. He has held a number of senior management positions and executive directorships in various public and private corporations in Singapore, Hong Kong and China.

Currently, he serves as an independent director on the boards of several Singapore and Chinese companies listed on the Singapore Exchange. The listed companies that he has present and prior experience in are  from diverse industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, offshore and marine,oil and gas  service provider, stockist cum trading, textile and food and beverage.

Mr Lien holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Nanyang University, and is a fellow member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore and CPA Australia..

Was appointed as our Independent Director on May 25, 2004. He graduated from the University of Singapore with an LL.B (Hons).After graduation, he commenced working life with a merchant bank affiliated to the Chase Group doing corporate finance work. He later moved to become a corporate planner in a public listed international conglomerate headquartered in London where he assisted in the formulation of the group's investment strategy. Mr Ho was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1977. He specialised in legal work relating to banking and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and property matters.
